Dear friends, fans of rhythm and good music, all of you who have followed us faithfully and wondered what will happen this year with the Drum Dum Festival, we are informing you that the organizers of the DDF are starting activities related to this year’s festival, which is a jubilee, the tenth in a row and which, as you know, was supposed to be held last year, but, due to the epidemiological situation and all the uncertainties brought by the pandemic, was postponed it for this year. We marked the jubilee year with the film “Decade of Good Rhythm”  remembering all the great moments and wonderful people to whom we have been connected for the past nine years.

This year, with the good hope that the situation will be more stable and certain, we started organizing the festival and we will inform you about the program and all events related to this year’s DDF on August 24, when we have scheduled a meeting with all well known and dear Marko Djordjevic, one of the best drummers of today.

But what is already current are the competitions that the organizer will soon announce. The competition for volunteers, the competition for the “DDF teens” part and the competition for the best photos “Music seen through a lens”.

As in all previous years, this year we invite young people who love music, rhythm and drums, like to hang out and meet new people and want to gain new experiences in organizing this type of event, to apply and become part of our team of volunteers.

Young drummers age 15 to 21 can apply for the competitive part of the festival, to show their knowledge and win prizes that will be extremely interesting this year.

And when it comes to the photo contest, everything will be similar to previous contests, but it would be interesting if, in the spirit of the moment, the contest participants send photos that “marked down” the music in the “era of the COVID”. This, of course, is not a condition, because the theme is “Music seen through a lens” but it is just a part of our thoughts about the strangeness of the present moment. This year, in the realization of this segment of the festival, we will receive the support of the masters of photography from the photo club Leskovac (Serbia).

In the hope that this year our plans will not be thwarted and that we will again feel the good rhythm and good music, we are inviting you to follow our pages and our website and we look forward to new friendships in advance. We are eager to see you and all of the concerts, as well as our friends who participated in this story in the previous nine years. We can’t wait to meet again! “Keep your fingers crossed” so our plans go smoothly, to be healthy, safe and happy at the 10th Drum Dum Festival.
